Consigli acquires global real estate firm’s Northeast construction business

Massachusetts-based Consigli Building Group, Inc., with offices in Hartford, has completed its acquisition of Lendlease’s construction operations in the Northeast, the company announced this week.

Lendlease is a global real estate group headquartered in Sydney, Australia.

Lendlease’s New York and New Jersey operations include more than 400 employees and jobs that are associated with approximately 45 current, under contract and pre-construction projects.

The portfolio of work is valued at more than $1.8 billion, officials from both companies said.

Consigli is a general contractor and construction management company. Its Hartford office, at 100 Allyn St., serves all of Connecticut, western Massachusetts and western Rhode Island.

The company, which recorded peak revenue close to $3 billion in 2023, works on projects for a diverse range of industries, including health care and education.

In recent years, it completed work on Fairfield-based Sacred Heart University’s new $70 million Martire Family ice hockey arena, and $22 million Bobby Valentine Health & Recreation Center.

Consigli recently moved its downtown Hartford office into a larger and newly renovated space at 100 Allyn St., to accommodate a growing local workforce.

Lendlease’s New York office, established in 1979, provides construction services in the New York metropolitan area with a focus on health care, life sciences, residential and mixed-use projects.
