Comcast was on hand to help Connecticut Public Television (CPTV) and WFSB Channel 3 officially debut the Connecticut Sports Network (CTSN), the state’s first-ever 24-hour cable channel devoted solely to local sports coverage. Comcast’s Dan Glanville, vice president of government affairs for western Connecticut, took part in the launch, which also featured Gov. M. Jodi Rell and UConn Women’s Basketball Coach Geno Auriemma. Comcast is the founding media sponsor of CTSN and the first cable system to offer the programming to its customers throughout Connecticut.
