William Raveis Real Estate, Mortgage & Insurance, which is headquartered in Shelton, recently added to its team with the acquisition of a brokerage in Florida.
WRRE, a family-owned company, acquired Key Solutions Real Estate, which is based in Sarasota. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
The acquisition marks WRRE’s further expansion into the Florida market, as it also has a presence in Naples and Palm Beach.
Key Solutions has 44 professional sales associates, and its two offices have reopened under the William Raveis Real Estate brand.
WRRE now has 14 offices in Florida and it aims to continue to grow its presence on the Florida coastline.
William Raveis, chairman and CEO, who founded the company 47 years ago, said, “Florida is hot in more ways than one.”
“As more and more people from the Northeast buy primary or vacation homes in Florida, we plan to expand throughout Florida for many years, further strengthening our luxury network,” Raveis said, in an announcement.
Since it opened its first office in Florida five years ago, WRRE reports it is on track to close over $3 billion in sales in that state alone.
Overall, WRRE has some 4,300 agents in eight states, including Connecticut, Florida, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island, Maine and Vermont. In 2020, the firm reported closing $16 billion in real estate sales.
Key Solutions has also been a family-owned company.
Susan Saltalamacchia, along with her son, Brian Tresidder, and family friend, Keith Redding, spent the past decade building up the business, which has specialized in the sale and rental of properties in Sarasota. Since the company’s inception, it has generated close to $1 billion in sales.
Tresidder, who will continue on as broker for the two Sarasota offices, said the family knew it was “a perfect fit,” when they were approached about joining WRRE.
“Their company and leadership team have the same values we embrace in our offices,” Tresidder said. “We knew this was a company we wanted to be working with, and not against.”
