The Connecticut Historical Society recently elected Bichop Nawrot as president and Larry Mowell and Don Williams as board members for 2015-16.
Nawrot, the first U.S. immigrant to serve as CHS’s president, has served on the board for more than a decade. He’s a co-founder of Capital Strategies in Bloomfield.
Mowell was an attorney for United Technologies Corp. from 1976 to 2008, and is currently the corporation’s real estate consultant. He has served as the Hartford Golf Club’s president and vice president.
Williams served as a state senator from 1993 to 2014, the last 10 of which were as president pro-tempore. He is deputy director of policy, research and reform for the Connecticut Education Association in Hartford.
