The Connecticut Food Bank has announced the appointment of Mary Kate Carofano as chief development officer and Paul Shipman as marketing and communications director.
Carofano was previously chief operating officer for the New England region of the National Arthritis Foundation. Prior to that, she held several roles at the National Kidney Foundation, rising to the position of national vice president for development.
Shipman was previously chief communication officer with the American Red Cross Connecticut and Rhode Island region. Before joining the Red Cross, Shipman held positions with the Mark Twain House and Museum and United Technologies Corp.
