Connecticare subsidiary wins CT health management contract

A new subsidiary unit of Farmington insurer Connecticare has won a three year contract to help state employees better manage their health.

Care Management Solutions has been contracted by the state as the new administrator for a health management initiative known as the Health Enhancement Program (HEP). The HEP program was developed for Connecticut’s state employees and recent retirees and their dependents, and seeks to improve their individual health while working to reduce long-term health costs for the state.

Financial terms of the deal were not immediately available.

Over the next three years, Care Management Solutions will provide state workers with health guidelines, prevention tactics, and targeted, personal guidance to at-risk participants who could benefit from chronic care management programs.
