Farmington insurer ConnectiCare is planning to open four retail centers this fall, including a flagship location in Manchester in October.
That first Manchester sales and service center at 1487 Pleasant Valley Road will allow consultants to assist customers with claims, find a doctor and learn how to use their plan. The in-person service will include health-education seminars and events and serve as a gathering place for health support groups and connections to community resources.
Benefits consultants will help insurance shoppers compare plans and prices and enroll in plans, including those sold through Access Health CT and Medicare Advantage.
Three more retail centers will open beginning in late November inside the CliniSanitas Medical Centers in Newington, Bridgeport and Orange.
Face-to-face delivery of health insurance services are a way to deliver the “high-quality” service the insurer prides itself on, said David Gordon, senior vice president, strategy and innovation, at ConnectiCare.
