We need to effectively build a diverse workforce at Connecticare to maintain our best-in-class customer service. Our employee diversity helps us meet the increasing diversity of our customers in the communities we serve. ConnectiCare defines diversity broadly. We value all of the differences that our employees bring to work.
A testament to this is our diversity video created by our employees that we show at employee orientation. Our employee-based diversity committee drives the momentum. One recent initiative was to engage FAVARH, an organization that places intellectually and physically challenged individuals in the workforce.
Our cultural competence committee supports the needs of a diverse membership by engaging our employees and business partners, improving cultural competence and reducing healthcare disparities.
