ConnectiCare President and CEO Mickey Herbert will retire from next month, after more than four years at the Farmington health insurer.
Herbert will be succeeded by Michael Wise, who has been the chief financial officer and executive vice president at ConnectiCare since 2005.
Herbert’s last day is Feb. 28, and Wise will take over March 1.
The company said the succession has been in the works for some time.
“Since the day he joined the company, [Wise] has been an outstanding leader and I knew he would eventually fill my position at ConnectiCare,” Herbert said. “Over the years, [Wise] has continued to manage more and more of the company’s activities and this will be an easy transition for him. The company is in great hands.”
