The Donaghue Foundation’s sixth BeyondEureka! conference drew 300 people from over 100 organizations to the Marriott in Farmington. Jeneanne Rae, a consultant to major corporations including Procter and Gamble and Amtrak, spoke about using design thinking to promote innovation in the service and health care sectors. Pictured are, from left, Rae; Camille Kubie and Ben Fry, who also were presenters; Foundation officials Nancy Yedlin, vice president; Lynne Garner, president, and Amy Lynch, trustee; and conference moderator Dr. C. Todd Staub. The Donaghue Foundation funds health and medical research, providing almost $80 million over its 20-year history — mostly in Connecticut. Its mission is to see that good, promising research gets used in the real world to improve health.
