ConEd tops CT electric suppliers with customers

ConEd Solutions has the best residential customer satisfaction of all the Connecticut electricity suppliers, according to a survey released Wednesday by J.D. Power and Associates.

The inaugural study surveyed 14,800 customers at 71 retail electric suppliers in eight states that have deregulated power generation, where ratepayers have the option to use a company other than their electric utilities to supply the generation portion of their bill.

ConEd scored the highest of all Connecticut suppliers with a score of 651 on a 1,000 point scale based on price, communications, corporate citizenship, enrollment/renewable, and customer service.

Ambit Energy was second in Connecticut with a score of 624, followed by Energy Plus (607), Direct Energy (596), Dominion Energy Solutions (586), and Public Power (577). The average score in Connecticut was 610.
