After being turned away last year, television host and comedian Conan O’Brien made a visit to New Haven’s Sally’s Apizza on Monday.
The restaurant posted on social media that last year, a Sally’s manager named Rylan turned down O’Brien because the restaurant was all booked up for the day. After word spread of the comedian being spotted, a regretful Rylan searched Wooster Street for O’Brien, but with no luck.
Rylan’s coworkers have not let her live the incident down since.
“Today, Rylan got her redemption,” the restaurant’s Facebook post said.

The post featured two pictures of O’Brien and Rylan together as well as two caricatures that the TV host drew on pizza boxes.
One said, “Hey Rylan, you were so right to toss me out…I’m a bum! Your bestie, Conan O’Brien.”
The other declared his love for Sally’s Apizza, saying, “Not the best pizza in New Haven, but the best pizza EVER.”
This is not the first time that a celebrity has visited the Wooster Street location. The restaurant has seen visits from Hillary Clinton and musician Paul Simon. Actress Gwyneth Paltrow also made an appearance back in November.
