Bike Walk Connecticut is coordinating National Bike to Work Day events, breakfasts, and meetups Friday for commuters in Hartford and across the state.
More than 20 areas across the state will be holding events and breakfast while 27 different meetups are available for commuters to meet and ride to work from.
The Hartford event will meet at Connecticut’s Old State House at 800 Main St. from 6:30 a.m. to 9 a.m., with a program meeting at 8 a.m. Hartford Mayor Pedro Segarra, among other government officials, is scheduled to speak at the Hartford event.
Among the sponsors and partners for Bike to Work Day are Hartford, Travelers, REI, local bike shops across the state, and the Department of Energy & Environmental Protection.
