Kaylah Milligan has been named the next president and CEO of the Community Foundation of Greater New Britain, effective Jan. 1.
Milligan will succeed David Obedzinski, who is retiring after eight years leading the foundation. She currently serves as the organization’s director of philanthropy and has spent her entire career at the foundation, advancing through roles that included program associate, assistant director of development, director of development and community response, and director of philanthropy.
Board President Janis Jerman said Milligan was selected following a national search for a nonprofit executive with collaborative leadership experience.
The search was conducted by Harvest Development Group, a Connecticut-based nonprofit consulting firm.
Founded in 1941, the Community Foundation of Greater New Britain serves Berlin, New Britain, Plainville and Southington, focusing on philanthropy, nonprofit capacity building and community initiatives. The organization reported $72.4 million in total assets at the end of 2024.
