Comcast Partners with Governor’s Prevention Partnership, A&E Network

Comcast’s Western New England Region, The Governor’s Prevention Partnership and A&E Network hosted a special meeting to help raise awareness about the dangers of prescription drug abuse among the state’s youth. The March 4 session brought together parents, high school and college students, law enforcement experts, elected officials and treatment providers to share information about the ways in which families and communities can combat this growing epidemic. The forum, held at Central Connecticut State University, featured a candid panel and audience discussion about prescription drug abuse, treatment and the importance of communication between parents and children. Pictured, from left, are Steve Pasierb, president of The Partnership for a Drug-Free America; Don Langer, co-chair of The Governor’s Prevention Partnership; Jill Spineti, president and CEO of The Governor’s Prevention Partnership; Candy Finnigan of A&E’s “Intervention,” and Doug Guthrie, Comcast senior vice president of the Western New England Region.
