Cable-television operator Comcast says it will hire 50 full- and part-time workers at its Enfield call center to beef up promotion of its cable TV, Internet and phone services and to keep service in line with its sprouting customer base.
Comcast said it is responding to growing demand for its XFinity products and services. The call center also has added technology and tools that enable it to monitor its network around the clock to spot and fix problems before they impact customers.
With the hirings, Comcast said its Connecticut payroll will climb to 1,500.
