COMCAST ENABLES SCIENCE WORKSHOPS

The Connecticut Science Center’s “Science in Motion” program recently launched at the Trinity Boys & Girls Club of Hartford and the Northwest Boys & Girls Club of Hartford with the help of a $2,500 grant from Comcast. The weekly hands-on workshops are aligned with the state’s science curriculum framework so that they complement what the students are learning in the classroom. Pictured with children from the Boys & Girls Club of Hartford are, rear from left, Samuel S. Gray, Jr. president and CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of Hartford; State Rep. Marie Kirkley-Bey; Hank Gruner, vice president of programs for the Connecticut Science Center; and Kristen Roberts, Comcast regional vice president of public relations and community investment.
