West Hartford gun maker Colt Defense said it has hired two senior vice presidents.
Paul Spitale will head commercial programs and Kenneth Juergens will lead government-military programs.
Spitale was most recently vice president of national accounts at LG Electronics and was a Sony senior vice president for more than 25 years.
Juergens was previously a group vice president at DynCorp International and a general manager for Oshkosh Defense. He is also a retired colonel in the U.S. Army Ordnance Corps.
The two senior executive hires come almost five months after Colt Defense warned that it was at risk of defaulting on its interest payments.
Soon after the gun maker secured a $70 million loan from Morgan Stanley Senior Funding. In February Colt said it secured a $33 million loan to will help it repay outstanding debts under its existing agreement, and for liquidity and general working capital.
