The Hartford Colonials pro football team and their fans will recognize Hartford’s Interval House for its efforts to raise awareness about domestic violence during Saturday’s game at Rentschler Field.
Colonials players will wear purple wrist bands and purple ribbon decals on their helmets. Coach Chris Palmer and his staff will wear white caps with a purple bill.
A limited number of hats will be sold for $12 on the concourse inside Gate C, with a portion of the proceeds going to Interval House.
Fans also are asked to bring their old cell phones and accessories to be donated toward prevention of domestic violence.
Kickoff against the Florida Tuskers is 3 p.m.
