The principals of Colonial Automobile Group have purchased a Danbury automotive sales property for $1.5 million, according to city records.
DBR Old Newtown Road LLC, an entity controlled by David and Darren Beylouni, acquired the one-story, 2,500-square-foot building at 5-9 Old Newtown Road. The Beylounis are principals of Danbury-based Colonial Automobile Group, which operates 13 dealerships in Connecticut and elsewhere in New England.
David Beylouni said Colonial Automobile Group will use the building with three work bays to store cars there and prepare them for sale.
“Our parts and service business is growing, so we needed a place to store additional cars and parts and do additional internal repair work,” he said.
The seller, Danbury Automotive Group, had purchased the property in 2019, records show.
Built in 1981, the building is appraised at $803,300 and assessed at $562,310.
