Colchester landscaping design firm AgroSci has install a three-story green wall at the 1 Hotel Central Park in New York City, the second project the firm has completed for the hotel chain.
The green wall concept is meant to grace the inside or outside of a building to provide an aesthetically pleasing and natural look to facilities, especially in urban spaces.
The company installed two green walls at 1 Hotel’s South Beach location in Miami and has completed similar projects for other companies like Disney Imagineering Studios in Anaheim, Calif., the J. Crew store in Brooklyn, and Binghamton University in Binghamton, N.Y.
The Manhattan green wall at 1414 Avenue of the Americas is 2,200 square feet and features 8,000 pots and 20,000 plants, all the same species of ivy.
