A 24,832-square-foot industrial building in East Hartford recently sold for $1.3 million to the owners of a craft cocktail liqueurs brand.
Liebenstein LLC, of East Hartford, sold the building on nearly an acre at 36 and 40 Cedar St., to 36 Cedar St. LLC in a deal recorded May 22.
The principals of the new owner, Josh Scavetta, of East Hartford, and Shyam Kulkarni, of Hartford, are also principals of cocktail liqueur maker Fruitful Mixology, currently based in another East Hartford location.
The Cedar Street building had previously hosted Horst Engineering, a maker of axles, nobs, levers, nuts and bolts for aerospace applications. In 2019, Horst consolidated operations from several locations to a newly renovated building on Prestige Park Road in East Hartford.
