Coastal Connecticut hotel names new catering director

The Hilton Mystic, a 182-room hotel located in coastal Mystic, has appointed Barbara Ashley as its catering director.

In her new role, Ashley will direct overall catering and event management operations for the hotel as well as its 6,000-plus square feet of meeting spaces, and its restaurant and lounge.

Prior to joining the sales team at the Hilton Mystic, Ashley served as banquet manager for Hotel Viking in Newport, R.I.
