CNG completes gas main in Coventry

Avangrid’s Connecticut Natural Gas said it has completed a 3.6-mile natural gas line in Coventry, which will provide heat to seven municipal buildings.

CNG said the line represents the first gas service in the town. The utility is working on a similar project in neighboring Bolton, which includes a seven-mile gas main.

The new Coventry main extends from Mansfield near the University of Connecticut. It will serve two schools, town offices and the police and fire stations.
