Hartford law firm Updike, Kelly & Spellacy announced today that it is moving out of its office space on One State Street, to the top two floors of the distinctive blue-glass façade at 100 Pearl Street, a lease totaling about 25,000 square feet.
The new space on Pearl Street will serve as the new headquarters for the firm, which specializes in full-service legal and governmental affairs.
As of Aug. 28 Updike, Kelly & Spellacy, had 40 local attorneys and 27 local partners, according to the Hartford Business Journal Book of Lists.
John McCormick of CB Richard Ellis represented the tenant, while Michael Puzzo, also of CB Richard Ellis, represented The Silverman Group, which is the building’s landlord.
The property located at 100 Pearl Street is a 17-story, Class A office building totaling about 281,000 square feet. It’s also home to a number of other corporate tenants including Guilford Specialty Group, Virtus Investment Partners, Robert Half International, Trust Company of Connecticut, and Goldberg Segalla.
