Rocky Hill-based Connecticut Innovations has invested $500,000 to help Ipsogen Inc. establish its North American headquarters in Windsor. It marks the first time the state’s quasi-public authority for technology investment has helped to establish a subsidiary of a foreign corporation. Ipsogen Inc. is the North American subsidiary of Ipsogen SAS, an 8-year-old biotech firm based in Marseille, France that specializes in developing tests used by oncologists to determine the effectiveness of cancer treatments.
