Cinemark plans to convert its existing North Haven moviehouse into a 14-screen multiplex featuring luxury lounger recliners and all-digital projectors.
Dallas-based Cinemark Holdings said the new cinema will debut next spring on the same site as the 26-year-old existing one at 550 Universal Drive. The old will be razed to make way for the new, officials said. Price wasn’t disclosed.
Cinemark has four other Connecticut multiplex cinemas in Enfield, Manchester, Milford and Southington, and one in Springfield, Mass.
