Bloomfield health insurer Cigna Corp. spent $470,000 in the third quarter lobbying Congress on issues related health care reform and Medicare prescription drug coverage, The Associated Press reports.
That spending amount was down from a year earlier when Cigna spent $710,000 in the third quarter of 2010 trying to influence the legislative agenda on Capitol Hill, AP reports citing information obtained from Congressional documents.
Cigna lobbied on issues related to the taxation of employer-provided health coverage and health care reform.
