Cigna sells $300M in bonds

Philadelphia health insurer Cigna Corp., with national claims headquarters in Bloomfield, has sold $300 million in bonds, the company said in a recent securities filing.

The notes are due in 2020 and carry an interest rate of 5.125 percent. Banc of America Corp., Deutsche Bank AG, and UBS AG served as underwriters, according to the filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
