Health insurer Cigna Corp., with major claims headquarters in Bloomfield, has rolled out nine dental HMO plans targeted at government workers and union members.
The plans are accepting Jan. 1, 2012 enrollment, the insurer says.
Cigna dental product executive Bebe Shuler-Mure said though targeted at public-sector members, the plans may alsobe appropriate for other types of businesses as well.
Cigna says its dental HMO network is one of the nation’s largest, with 15,905 individual dentists.
