Cigna helps feed 250,000 people in Kenya

Cigna CEO David Cordani encouraged employees as they packaged more than a quarter million meals for families in Kenya who are affected by HIV/AIDS. It was a part of the largest on-site philanthropic event in Cigna’s history. Working with a nonprofit called Feeding Children Everywhere, nearly 1,100 employees formed production lines at Cigna’s Bloomfield headquarters and packaged 253,440 healthy lentil casseroles. They will be flown to Kenya and distributed via Feeding Children Everywhere’s charitable partner, Care for AIDS. The event was the culmination of “Cigna’s Get Together, Give Together Employee Giving Campaign.”
