The newly minted Cigna-HealthSpring Medicare Advantage company is expanding its presence in the Midwest.
The company, owned by Bloomfield health insurer Cigna, said it is adding 120 employees and opening a new office in downtown Chicago to support its growing Illinois operations.
In 2012, Cigna-HealthSpring was awarded a three-year contract with the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services to provide managed care services to dual-eligible beneficiaries in Greater Chicago.
That program will go live in January, officials said.
The new jobs will include both management and entry-level roles in customer service and clinical care and will be posted over the course of the next several months, officials said.
