Bloomfield health insurer Cigna Corp. is launching two new accountable care organizations in Colorado and California.
Physician group New West Physicians, P.C. of Denver, Colo. and the Palo Alto Medical Foundation, a non-profit health care organization in Palo Alto, Calif., announced their participation in the ACOs on Tuesday.
The goal of the new programs, Cigna said, is to improve care coordination, and achieve the “triple aim” of improved health quality outcomes, lower total medical costs and increased patient satisfaction.
