Cigna CEO and triathlete David Cordani will lead more than 50 Cigna employees, family and friends as they take on the NBC-30 Coach Calhoun Cancer Challenge Ride and Walk on Saturday at the Simsbury Performing Arts Center.
 “I share Coach Jim Calhoun’s passion for eradicating this disease,” Cordani said in a statement.
The event includes bike rides of 10, 25, 50 and 75 miles. This is the first year the event will include a 5K walk.
Organizers expect more than 500 riders and 500 walkers and runners and are aiming to raise $500,000. Walk-up registrants are welcome. The public is welcome to the post-ride/walk celebration with a barbecue, live music, and plenty of activities for kids.
