WellPoint Inc., the parent of Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Connecticut and Kentucky, fared poorly in an annual survey that asks Kentucky hospitals about health insurance firms, BizJournals.com reports. Cigna and Aetna scored high.
NPR reports that the survey by ReviveHealth, a California-based public relations firm, found that Indianapolis-based WellPoint ranked last in overall favorability and in the dealing with hospitals category, based on responses from about 400 hospitals, The Louisville Morning Call reports.
Bloomfield health giant Cigna Corp. was No. 1 in overall favorability, and Hartford health giant Aetna Inc. scored best in the dealing with hospitals category, the report said.
