CI invests $450K for cell phone media firm

It’s another day, another half million bucks for Connecticut Innovations which this morning – a day after spending $500k to bring a French bio-firm to Connecticut — announced a $450,000 early-stage investment in a Madison-based tech firm that streams free audio and video to cell phones. The company, RemoTV, said its technology lets users access multimedia anywhere as well as give them the ability to create content while on the go. It will also be one of the first cellular video service to be offered for free, RemoTV said. The money for the investment came under the $2 million seed fund launched last month by the Rocky Hill-based, quasi-public authority for tech investment.
