CI bets $300K on clean-tech firm

Connecticut Innovations, the state’s quasi-public tech investment arm, has completed a $300,000 investment in a Newtown company that builds cleaner-burning boilers used in coal- and oil-fired power plants. It is the second round of financing the state has made in Environmental Energy Services, which has a client list including Florida Power & Light, NRG Energy and Hawaii Electric Company.
