CI aims to combat anti-business perception with marketing video

Seeking to portray Connecticut as a beneficial place to do business, Connecticut Innovations has created a marketing campaign featuring the CEOs of some of its portfolio companies.

The approximately four-minute video, created by New London’s Astor place, includes the CEOs of NovaTract Surgical, etouches, and Continuity Control touting the state’s quality of life, access to capital and other features to their limo driver.

“There’s a perception that it’s difficult to do business in Connecticut, but in fact, we hear all the time from our portfolio companies that it’s a great place to start and grow a company,” Claire Leonardi, CI’s CEO, said in a statement.

CI has also created a quiz about ideas developed in Connecticut. Those who take the quiz or sign up for CI’s mailing list will have a chance to win a Parrot AR.Drone 2.0 or other prizes.
