Tracy Church, human resources chief for Hartford Healthcare, has been appointed president of the Susan G. Komen Southern New England board of directors.
“Tracy’s experience and passion for the mission of Komen Southern New England make her a great fit for this new role. We are thrilled to have her at the helm of our organization and look forward to working together to provide support to local families in need of breast cancer services,” announced Komen the largest nonprofit funder of breast-health services in this state.
Church, who has more than 30 years’ experience in the health-care industry, has served on the Connecticut affiliate’s board since 2013. Before joining Hartford HealthCare in 2011, she spent more than 10 years with San Francisco’s Dignity Health (formerly Catholic Healthcare West), a system of 42 hospitals and medical centers throughout California, Arizona and Nevada.
Church has a masters in organizational management from the University of Phoenix and earned certifications from the Yale School of Management and the Global Leadership in Health Care Program at the University of Michigan Ross School of Business. She earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Maryland, College Park.
