Mission: Chrysalis Center provides supportive services to assist people in need to transform their lives.
Background: Chrysalis Center is a 33-year-old nonprofit organization serving the needs of individuals and families in Greater Hartford who are recovering from psychiatric disabilities, homelessness, unemployment, substance abuse, HIV/AIDS and other life struggles.
Last year, Chrysalis Center served 2,800 individuals in four core service areas: community case management, employment, supportive housing and community integration services.
Chrysalis Center is the largest provider of supportive housing in Connecticut with more than 250 units of supportive housing in Greater Hartford.
The organization is funded by a variety of sources, including the state of Connecticut, federal funding sources, private and corporate foundations and private donors.
Major Fundraiser: Butterfly Ball, held Oct. 25 at the Farmington Marriott.
