SI Financial Group Foundation awarded a $3,000 grant to Hartford nonprofit Operation Fuel for emergency energy assistance for residents of Willimantic and the Windham region.
Middlesex United Way presented a check for $41,693 to MARC Community Resources in support of their Adult Skill Development and Leisure Program. The program helps individuals with fitness, nutrition and wellness, money management, digital literacy and positive life choices.
Walmart and the Walmart Foundation recently donated $280,000 to nonprofits in Connecticut including: Shoreline Soup Kitchens & Pantries, Essex; Community Soup Kitchen, New Haven; The Salvation Army, Hartford; House of Bread, Hartford; and Catholic Charities, Norwich.
