The new Chick-fil-A on Pleasant Valley Road in Manchester opened Wednesday morning to a small crowd.
While Chick-fil-A openings often draw long lines for a promotion that awarded free chicken sandwiches weekly for a year to the first customers, the company has shifted away from the “First 100” event to one that honors “a group of heroes in our local community” with the prize, the company said.
The restaurant, located just west of the plaza’s main entrance, is open from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
