Chester-based Denlar Fire Protection has been acquired by a North Carolina company, Gas-Fired Products.
Denlar makes pre-engineered fire suppression kitchen hoods. Gas-Fired Products says the Connecticut company’s line will add a fourth brand to its offerings.
Denlar markets its hoods to a number of market segments, including student housing, senior living residences, churches, EMS and police facilities.
“We are excited about the opportunities to expand upon the success of Denlar while levering the engineering and management expertise of our team at Gas-Fired Products,” said Gas-Fired’s President Frank Home.
He added that the company is actively looking for more acquisition targets similar to Denlar.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Gas-Fired Products’ offerings in addition to Denlar include two brands of commercial, industrial, and residential heaters, as well as the BulkTobac line of tobacco curing equipment and accessories that date back to the company’s founding.
