Cheshire’s Wayback Burgers grows southern U.S., international footprint

National burger chain Wayback Burgers, headquartered in Cheshire, continued to expand its reach in the third quarter of 2017, adding five new franchises and opening seven new restaurants worldwide, the company said this week.

The new restaurants bring the fast-casual chain’s total to 136 locations, including restaurants in 28 states and its newest international location in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

In the U.S., Wayback opened restaurants in California, Texas, North Carolina, South Carolina and Alabama between July and September, according to the company’s Q3 2017 franchise development report.

Wayback President John Eucalitto said the company has experienced record growth since January, launching a redesign of its stores, adding new products such as a Philly Cheesesteak and a hand-breaded chicken breast and tenders, debuting a mobile food cart in New York City and selling multiple new franchise agreements.
