Cheshire plumbing parts maker McGuire Manufacturing Co. Inc. said it has reached an agreement with a Texas manufacturer that was using a similar numbering system for similar products.
McGuire said Specified Trim, which is based in Dallas, agreed to stop using its parts numbering system, which McGuire said was nearly identical to its own and could have caused confusion among customers.
Specified Trim will start using a new numbering system on Oct. 1.
