A proposal to build a one-story office building for three tenants in Cheshire was unanimously approved this week by the town Planning & Zoning Commission.
The application was submitted by Richard Hall of Borghesi Building & Engineering Co. Inc. of Torrington, who sought site plan approval for the professional office building at 104 Stonebridge Court. The property is owned by Paul Bowman of Cheshire.
The proposal was considered and approved during the commission’s regular meeting on Monday.
The site is within the mixed-use development known as Stonebridge Crossing, which includes The Shops at Stone Bridge.
According to the application, the proposed 11,252-square-foot building at 104 Stonebridge Court will be used to house three professional office suites. The suites will be approximately 4,412 square feet, 3,230 square feet and 3,610 square feet, the application states.
The building will be one story with a low eave of about 12 feet and a high peak of approximately 30 feet 7.5 inches, according to plans submitted with the application.
The building has been designed for approximately 33 employees overall, and would operate on normal business hours Monday through Friday, with the potential for some weekend hours, the applicants state. They did not identify any potential tenants.
Whole Foods, which recently opened, is the anchor tenant at The Shops at Stone Bridge. The 155,000-square-foot retail development is located at the intersection of Route 10 and Interstate 691.
Developed by Florida-based Regency Centers, the center is nearly fully leased.
Other tenants include TJ Maxx, Barnes & Noble, Sephora, Shake Shack, J. Crew Factory and Chase Bank.
