Charlotte Hungerford Hospital is expanding its sleep center program in Winsted.
The hospital recently named Dr. Natalya Thorevska as its new sleep center medical director and will now add more comprehensive sleep disorder-related studies and treatments to its menu of services.
Thorevska, who is board certified in sleep medicine, pulmonary medicine and critical care medicine, also serves as the medical director of the Hartford Hospital Sleep Disorder Center where her office is based.
Treatment evaluation for sleep disorders in Winsted will be offered by Thorevska and three additional physicians from Hartford Hospital’s CT Multispecialty Group/Pulmonology.
With its expanded services, the CHH Sleep Center will provide access to treatment for all sleep disorders, including cognitive behavior therapy for patients with insomnia, sleep study interpretations, including baseline sleep studies, continuous positive airway pressure studies, multiple sleep latency tests and maintenance of wakefulness tests.
A soon to be opened sleep clinic will also offer daytime assessments for sleep-related disorders.
