Chapple named deputy state AG

Incoming state Attorney General William Tong has named veteran state litigator Margaret Q. (Peggy) Chapple of Granby his deputy.

Chapple joined the attorney general’s office in 1985. From 2013 until 2015 she was associate attorney general in charge of the office’s litigation activities. She also oversaw for a time the office’s administration and management, where her responsibilities included professional staff development.

Chapple earned her undergraduate degree from Southern Connecticut State University, and a master’s in social work and law degrees from UConn.
