New Haven-based Trevi Therapeutics Inc. disclosed Wednesday that its chief financial officer will be leaving her post on Friday.
Lisa Delfini will resign from the company on Aug. 22. The departure was not related to any disagreements with Trevi’s operations or policies, the biopharmaceutical company said in a securities filing.
Delfini, who joined the company in 2021, will receive separation benefits under Trevi’s executive severance plan, contingent on signing a release of claims and other standard agreements, the securities filing said.
President and CEO Jennifer L. Good will serve as the interim CFO until a successor is named, the company said.
The announcement follows Trevi’s second-quarter earnings release earlier this month, in which the clinical-stage biotech reported a net loss of $12.3 million, a slight improvement from the $12.4 million loss in the same quarter of 2024.
Research and development expenses fell to $9.4 million, while general and administrative costs rose to $4.3 million, reflecting increased professional fees and personnel expenses, the company said.
Trevi also completed a $115 million underwritten offering in June, boosting its liquidity to $203.9 million and securing a cash runway into 2029.
Trevi is developing the investigational therapy Haduvio for the treatment of chronic cough in patients with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, non-IPF interstitial lung disease, and refractory chronic cough.
