CERC elects PURA commish to board

The Connecticut Economic Resource Center, a nonprofit economic development firm in Rocky Hill, has elected Public Utilities Regulatory Authority Commissioner Michael Caron to its board of directors.

Caron, who was a state representative from 1991 to 2009, has been with PURA since Gov. Dannel Malloy nominated him last year. Previously, he was director of public affairs for global sites for Pfizer Inc.

He also served as an associate lobbyist for Camilliere, Cloud & Kennedy.
